What a Trip to France Reminded Me About The Wandering Bee

I’ve just got back from a holiday in France and, if I’m honest, it’s left me feeling really inspired.

Walking around Paris, I found myself wandering in and out of beautiful perfumeries. Of course, I admired the branding, the packaging, the scents and the ideas behind each collection, but more than anything, I loved how refined everything felt. It reminded me of something that’s always been at the heart of The Wandering Bee.

Refinement has always been the goal

From the very beginning, I’ve wanted everything we create to feel minimal, refined and luxurious. To me, the more refined something is, the more luxurious it feels.

Walking around those fragrance houses made me realise that this has always been the direction I wanted The Wandering Bee to take. Not by following trends or releasing new scents every few weeks, but by building a fragrance house that feels timeless. Because the truth is, I never wanted to just make candles. I’ve always wanted to build a fragrance brand.

Looking ahead to 2027

As we start thinking about 2027, the focus isn’t on doing more. It’s on refining what we already do.

If you’ve been with us throughout 2026, you’ve probably already noticed this shift. It’s been filtering through our social media, our emails and the way we talk about our collections. We’re already in that refinement process. Now it’s about taking it one step further.

A collection that makes sense

One of the biggest things I want to achieve is to make our core collection available across every home fragrance format. Our core collection candles sitting alongside matching reed diffusers, wax melts and maybe even home sprays. How gorgeous would that be?
I also want our hand care collection to become more cohesive, with new fragrance categories that naturally belong alongside what we already offer. I won’t say too much just yet, but there’s plenty to look forward to. Rather than constantly adding more, I want every collection to feel complete. Thoughtful. Intentional.

We're almost there

To be honest, I think we’re nearly there already.

It isn’t about changing everything. It’s about refining what we’ve built. Making a few more considered decisions that turn great collections into complete ones.

Walking around Paris didn’t change my vision for The Wandering Bee. It simply reminded me why we started, and where we’re heading.

Less about trends. More about timeless fragrance.

Less about making more. More about making it matter.
